In film, Matt has served as counsel for financiers of major motion pictures with budgets totaling more than $300 million, and as counsel to producers and executives with lifetime box office exceeding $5 billion. IME clients have been nominated for or won Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Emmy Awards, Grammy Awards, and Streamy Awards.

In the interactive media space, Matt represents some of the most prolific video game developers in the industry, whose games have set 8 Guinness World Records for sales, and grossed more than $16 billion worldwide. Matt also served as lead counsel on the first YouTube to Netflix deal in history.

Beyond traditional and interactive entertainment, Matt represents clients who are defining immersive solutions for entertainment and enterprise, including software developers, producers, directors and critically-acclaimed XR filmmakers and content creators. Matt has represented these clients in their negotiations with Oculus, HTC, Intel, Samsung, Microsoft, Google, IMAX, MK2, Hulu, Within, and others.

Matt also represents financiers of XR technology and content, whose portfolio companies include some of the most advanced technology companies in the world today.

Matt speaks frequently on the subject of augmented and virtual reality, including at Sundance, VRLA, VR Shows London, VR on the Lot, and at PGA member events on legal issues, and financing and monetization models, related to immersive technology and content. Matt and his team at IME are committed to leveraging their deep experience in film, television, SVOD, AVOD, and the console and mobile game industries to develop hybrid monetization models for VR that benefit content creators and developers.
